Pix!
Those logs are actually sea lions. Cross my heart. There's a close up a picture or two down, but it's not much help. Whoops, this is the close up shot. My bad.
Is this not a cool dude? In Carmel Valley, outside of the Pot Farm.
The obligatory amateur shot of the Lone Cypress on 17 Mile Drive.
There! Clearly sea lions. Or a logging truck wrecked up the coast. (Knock on wood. My cousin drives one of those.)
Basking in the fruit of ones labor. Possibly just digging and hiding in a hole. Very demanding work.

Great pictures. I love the rock with the tree on it. Maybe your pup is digging a hole to hide in -- scared of those big ol' lions. ;)
What a fun day of picture taking! :)
I want to live near the beach! I'm beginning to prefer the beach on the West coast though the East coast is more swimmable!
I love the 17 mile drive. It's gorgeous!
I had never seen any type of seal or sea lion until I went to Northern California. They are really impressive creatures!
Love the pictures - that is SO NOT HERE.
I can see the sea lions! They make me want to go to CA!!
My pup loves to dig in the sand too.
Great pictures! The lone cypress is especially good, that is the one perched atop the rocks yes?
SO cute! I love your photos :) I can see the sea lions.
PS Sorry about the word id thing - I got fed up after receiving 20+ spam comments in one day.
Aw, those sea lions look so comfy! What great pictures... I'd love to live so close to the ocean (and have a puppy soooo cute!).
Great pictures!
can you just imagine being on the beach when those sea lions decided to come in? Great pics.
so was it worth it, to pay to drive down that road?
Great photography. I especially like the tree pic. Thanks for sharing some beachy goodness.
